RULES AND REGULATIONS

 

1.             The Dharmasala is for the use of Parsee Zoroastrians only.  If necessary, the Manager has been authorized to ask for proof of the same. 

2.             Right Of Admission Reserved.  The Manager and/or the Trustees reserve the right to refuse admission without giving any reason thereof.

3.             All Guests are required to fill in the Booking Register with full details.  Check in time is 3 PM.  Check out time is 12 noon.

4.             Smoking is Strictly Prohibited on the premises.  Guests could be asked to vacate the premises immediately if they do not abide by this rule. 

5.             Visitors can meet the Guests between the hours of 7:00 AM and 11 PM.  Kindly meet them in the Reception Area or Dining room only.  Visitors are not permitted in the Bedrooms.

6.             On leaving the Dharmasala, kindly leave the Room Key with the Manager.  Rooms and Bathrooms need to be cleaned on a daily basis.  If a Room Key it lost there will be a charge of Rs.500/- from the Guest.

7.             For security reasons the Dharmasala will be closed at 11:00 PM.  In case you plan to return later than that we request you to inform the Manager in advance so that suitable arrangements can be made.

8.             Please do not use any electric heaters, irons, or other heavy electrical devices.  The wiring on these premises is old and may result in short circuits.  An iron and ironing board is available for use of the Guests.  Please request the Manager for the use of this facility and return the same as soon as you are done with it. 

9.             Guests are requested not to enter the kitchen.  The Manager is on call 24 hours a day and can be contacted for any help you may require.

10.         The telephone is for official use only. However, in emergency, the Manager may permit local calls to be made against cash payment of Rs.5/- per local call.  All calls must be entered in the call book.

11.         Guests may use the facility of the washing machine.  Charges for Short Term Guests, less than 15 days, will cost of Rs.100/- per laundry bag, if they give clothes for washing.  Charges for Long Term Guests, more than 15 days, will cost Rs.100/- per week, per laundry bag, irrespective if they give clothes for washing, and the amount will have to be paid in advance.  Laundry bags have been provided in each room.  Kindly hand over your clothes in the bag to the Manager.  They will be returned to you within 24 hours.  If you wish to have them ironed please inform the Manager who will give them to the “dhobi” and charge you on actuals. 

12.         The TV in the dining room is for the common use of all Guests.  Kindly keep the volume at an acceptable level and respect other Guests. 

13.         Kindly maintain respect and decorum, with regard to attire and behavior, at all times whilst a Guest in the Dharmasala

14.         College students, and other working youth are permitted to stay at the Dharmasala in excess of fifteen days. This is only with a view to facilitate these youth from smaller towns and other cities to obtain higher education and for advancement of career opportunities. This is a privilege extended to Parsee Zoroastrian youth by this Anjuman.  We trust that this privilege will not be abused.  The Anjuman reserves the right to withdraw this privilege in case these Rules and Regulations are not adhered to.

15.         In addition to these Rules and Regulations, long term Guests will need to comply with providing the (i) Permanent Address and Contact Telephone Numbers of Parents in the register, and (ii) the Name and Address of employer / college / institution must be must be also entered in the register.  Any change in (i) or (ii) above needs to be intimated to the Manager.

16.         Guests who are planning to be absent from the Dharmasala for a period exceeding 24 hours, must inform the Manager in advance.

17.         The Manager of the Dharmasala will be deemed to function as the local caretaker of such Guests and will be responsible for the maintenance of discipline in respect of all Guests. 

18.         You are not permitted to put up any pictures, frames, photos, calendars, etc. on the walls and not deface the walls and/or furniture. 

19.         Cardboard cartons/boxes are not permitted to be stored in the rooms.  These are a source of cockroaches and other pests and we would like to maintain a hygienic environment for you.  We request you to store your empty suitcases in the loft area of the store room to avoid clutter in the bedrooms and aid in the cleanliness.

20.         You are not permitted to bring in any furniture.  The rooms are well equipped enough.

21.         Guests are permitted to use the free Wi-Fi in the Dharmasala.  Please contact the Manager to obtain the password and other details.  Continuous, unlimited, or excessive downloading will NOT be permitted.
